MyEntre.net Webinar: Harvesting Value Through Pricing
Posted 5 January, 2012
Do
you get nervous or have doubts about how to price your work? Join
Bryan, Regional Director of the Indian Hills Community College Small
Business Development Center as he shares his methods on how to harvest
value through pricing.
Three areas will be covered to establish a method for setting the price on products or services.
- Cost-
Cost relative to various volumes of sales will be identified to insure
that your price is set to cover cost within a critical time frame.
- Competition- This is how most prices are set. Find out what the competition charges and charge a little less.
- Value-
This is the concept that presents the most opportunity for pricing
right. This is a fair price to both the buyer and seller that
represents the true benefit to the customer and rewards the business at
the right level for delivering that benefit.
Different
pricing strategies will be discussed as they relate to consumer
behavior. When you ask the consumer what is a fair price they will
always say lower but their behavior can go both directions. The legal
issues with pricing and the economic theory that applies directly to
establishing a price will be discussed. Pricing is never an exact
science but an experiment process. The webinar will give you the ideas
to apply to your own situation in order for you to maximize value for
your organization.
Bryan Ziegler has helped small businesses implement marketing and sales
strategy as the director of the Indian Hills Community College Small
Business Development Center for 26 years. Bryan has been teaching for
Buena Vista University Ottumwa Center since 1986 and provides
instruction for business mangers in several seminar topic areas. Bryan
managed the sales for a construction company and earned an MBA from
Western Illinois University.
